Exp-o-rama

Went to the start-up@singapore seminar at nus today in the morning. It's suppose to give us a little bit of intro to how they are going to use web 2.0 to expand their businesses and stuff. There were some speakers who were invited to discuss about the topics and there were many enthusiastic people in the audience as well.

Seminar ended at about 12p.m and there were some refreshments outside the hall. Zixian kept 'sampling' the food like there's no tomorrow and before the enterprise people left us there, i dragged zixian out of the reception booth. (and he was still munching on the curry puff)

Initially, me and zixian dint know where to go for lunch because we couldn't find any coffee shops nearby dhoby gauht mrt station, but when joel, the walking street directory, came and met with us later on, he led us to a kopitiam selling XO fish.

Obviously, zixian decided to get himself a bowl of XO fish beehoon not because it was their signature dish, but instead, he wanted to drown his love sorrows in the 1% of alcohol in the XO soup. His attempts to get into close relationships with some particular girls have failed, miserably, and the council of swiss brothers are left stuck(for the first time) thinking about ideas to improve his situation upon seeing his face. We can feel your pain, fellow 'brother'.

We met up with junhao, joseph, yongxiang and junyang after lunch to walk to acjc together for the fun-o-rama. Saw Weixian at the zebra-crossing directing the traffic, sad thing was that he had to do all the saikang even though he's the top scorer for swiss. JK took some photos of us when he left the funfair.

Everything was expensive there, especially the drinks and food, but we were willing to spend since we brought the funfair coupons already. Yongxiang and joseph played the ping pong ball game while joel went to the shooting booth, and he won himself a memo pad...

Later on, weixian and xuanhan came and met with us to bring us around the fair. Went to the hall to have a short chat with weixian and we took some photos there too. I shall post them up when i get the photos from weixian.

Spent the rest of our coupons on bread sticks before proceeding to junhao's house to watch 投名狀, The Warlords.

It was a super inspirational film depicting real brotherhood. Battle scenes are really cool and the lines they spoke were very good. 你跟我记住，战场上只有一个头！ We had some inspiration for zixian and kahwai to be in the film after watching. 投名狀:2 undergoing production by swiss brothers, details shall not be revealed to the public at THIS moment, haha.

After that, me and yx headed home.

I feel so lost

More than 90% of my brothers have known what cca i am in now, but in case you are still in doubt, i'm in enterprise club. Ya, you know the club where you have to tend some mama shop to sell tidbits and drinks? I'm in it.

Swiss peeps always giving me that kind of look when i told them i'm in enterprise... even sokheng gave me a 'HUH?' when i told him about it. I've got similar responses from junhao, joseph, joel, zhihong, yongbin, sebastian, and many more to come. Zhihong still asks me what my cca is every morning.

I thought i could settle in a '1 meeting/week to kill time' cca but apparently, i feel i dont belong in the cca as well. Studies may be a priority but i feel so life-less whenever i go for the meetings. The cca doesn't suck, members are pretty and cool, but it's the things they do during the meetings that bore me. I think of those NPCC times which were so meaningful cause i learnt so much stuff, and i realised that i could be wasting 2 years of my life now since im not keen on what they discuss about.

The only reason im in there now is because there's only 1 meeting per week and i can have more time to myself. How wonderful?

I still remember the ghost train me and zixian took after our meeting ended.

Will my life be empty like this train?

I hope not.

Ouch

Weather was so fine yesterday compared to the rains in the last few days.

Went to benghow's house together with zhihong in the morning to play tennis. Benghow's coaching made zhihong pick up the game real fast and we managed to keep the ball in the court most of the time. Still, we were no match for benghow even when we played a handicapped match. I hurt my knee halfway through the game, so now there's this part of my flesh exposed at the knee area.

Had 3 hours of good tanning and tennis before showering in the swimming pool's toilet.

Later on, we went up to benghow's house to unleash some ps3 madness. First game we played was NFS: prostreet, cars never seemed so real in tv before. Obviously, my crash and burn 'burnout' style left benghow and zhihong bitting the dust in the races, hahha, but i lost badly in the drifting tracks. Benghow's 7/8 years old cousin challenged us to call of duty 4, and we managed to win even though he was quite skillful for his age.

After zh and bh finished their soccer match, bh's hyperactive cousins started going hysterical after hearing that zhihong knew how to play the piano. They kept shouting 'play kungfu dunk' and then started running around the sofa, and the only song in the movie was the rap, it din't even contain a piano type piece of music, lol. So after that, zhihong played some crazy fast piece, one of the cousins still keep saying 'faster,faster!' when we nearly cannot see his fingers shifting past the keys already.

Went home with zhihong in bus 171 at around 4p.m. where i walked past the pasar malam to treat myself to a...*drumroll* RAMLY burger.

After giving out my order to the uncle, he stood up from his seat and made his way to the hot metal plate, whipped out the bread with some butter on them and also heated up the meat patty. Next, the most anticipated moment, the cracking of the egg. The uncle allowed the egg to simmer on the plate patiently, waiting for the precise moment to wrap it around the patty for maximum satisfaction.

Soon, my ramly burger was placed neatly in a simple styrofoam box.

Hot and warm, i felt in my hands, not like the usual McSpicy or Zinger. The first bite - extremely good! Reminded me that my last burger was roughly 5 months ago before the o levels. The soft and tender meat covered with layers of mayonnaise, bbq and chilli sauce, simply heavenly and also sinful(fats) at the same moment at such an affordable price. Irresistible.

Went home after that meal to rush some of the holiday homework since the holidays are ending soon...

Shag

Had to wake up early today to meet up with junhao, joseph, yongbin, zixian for our regular gym session. In case you thought that your eyes were playing some tricks on you, it is true you did read Z-I X-I-A-N in the previous sentence. Zi xian, notorious for his 24/7 i-am-a-slacker face, made some effort to come meet us, that's the first step to getting an A for his pull-ups! Nice job, i am positive that one day, he will become fitter than all of us, haha.

The feeling of lifting more weights each week is very satisfying even though its so strenuous/demanding. The step-up machine is the real challenge for all our perseverance and strength, and it trains up our leg muscles real good. Even though zi xian dint do much exercises, the priceless expression you see when hes using the ab-rotation machine motivates us to work even harder... such is the power of an actual holy cheese.

Stayed there for about 2 hours before leaving for CWP to have lunch.

After finishing our meals in the kopitiam, we proceeded on to Mac to have desserts. Junhao had a strawberry sundae, hot fudge sundae AND also a double cheese burger while joseph brought an additional chocolate milkshake after finishing his strawberry sundae. It takes about twice the time for the straw to sink to the bottom of the milkshake compared to an innocent cup of soft drink, so you can probably imagine the thick layer of froth/FATS in it. If we do become fat one day, it'll be our JUST DESSERTS, get it? lol (sudden arctic breeze...)

JK met up with us after that before going to vincent's ah ma's house to play tennis.

Walking along the pavement of dairy farm condo is similar to attending a mini car exhibition show. The cars that people drive pass us look marvelous... makes us wonder when we will ever get hold of a smackxy-looking car.

So basically, jk was taken aback by joel's awesomeness in the first match. The stumped jk had to give way to joel who proceeded on to semi finals. I lost to joseph, and junhao lost to vincent. Joseph lost to joel later on because joel's strokes were just too smooth, unbelievable haha. See below for some match excerpts/highlights.

In the end, joel left after beating joseph in the game and vincent challenged joseph to another game, which stretched really long. Eventually, joseph won... but that means joel can finish all of us! doh.

Left the place at around 6p.m together and had dinner at home.

1 week holiday finally starting, which means tons of catching up to do, hope we'll get to meet up to play again.

Pratamania

@jc's pratas are really super nice, and the malay uncle making them is seriously skillful. He knows how to stretch the prata really aesthetically and his ability to slam/pack (otherwise known as 'OWNING' by swiss ppl) is superb! He, himself DEFINES the art of making prata. Whoever who visits our college next time must come and see how he stack the pratas... you will be taken aback, no joke man.

Damn nice, but he dint show how he stack the cooked ones together, and i wasn't the one who filmed the video.

Checkmate

Had CCA carnival on wednesday after school and i'm uncertain of which one to join cause there wasn't any sports or clubs which aroused strong interests in me. I signed up for hockey, air pistol, eureka and enterprise club but i can only attend one of them next week.

Hockey seems quite fun but i'll need to get the equipments and train from ground zero while some others can already start on playing the actual game. Dribbling ain't easy at all for those who are new to the sport. Training is 3 times per week, though quite standard for all sport ccas but very demanding since it'll be exhaustive.

Eureka and enterprise club seems a bit slack cause theres only 1 meet-up per week but i don't think the testimonial after 2 years will be beautiful unless i end up having a leadership position, which is quite difficult to get. The members in enterprise club have to tend a shop in a weekly basis but nobody ever visits it, so the members can do whatever they want. I told the others i may be considering to join it, then they said they will come and destroy the mama shop if i join. =.=

After 1 week of being psychoed by junhao physically and psychologically to join council, im glad i dint hand up the application even thought i spent a night writing the essay. I think 4h2, alpha program, and maybe even nyaa silver will be quite hectic already and now i can't even cope well with econs.

Went to gym yesterday morning with joseph, junhao and yongbin before meeting up with junyoong and binghan to watch L: Change the World at about 1p.m.

It was an awesome show cause the fat kira wasn't acting in this sequal :P. L was still defending his title as world's no.1 detective even though he had only 23 days to live on since he had written his own name in the book, don't think he'll live any longer than that with his crave for sweets.

The mask owns! and it has made it's appearance in both death note 2 and change the world.
