O2

First day to ajc was so tiring because we had to report at 7am. Woke up at 5.45am instead of the usual 6.30am during the pae period. Felt so dead when i left home at about 6.10am.

I was greeted by junda, yongbin and minyi while i was semi-sleepwalking at chua chu kang mrt station. Luckily, i had yongbin and minyi to talk to during the trip otherwise i'll be bored to death. (think junda was still waiting for his friend)

Joined up with the gang later on at yio chu kang to walk to school together.

We had to separate after that to join our OGs... and i realised that im the ONLY 2nd-intake male in my group for orientation 2. Almost all of them are from the same class or previous og except for some girls. So after joining them i was a BIT emo, actually VERY emo cause the boys were all talking among themselves as if friends since kindergarten and it's also difficult for me to start talking to new people. I still remembered telling myself to be more enthu for this orientation cause i wasnt during orientation 1, but i still failed.

Proceeded on to principal and subject combi talks in the auditorium and i had to wake myself up in several occasions during the 2.5 hours cause i was really dam drowsy. Watched the orientation opening video which was super lame because the alliance leaders were dressed up in some very funny costumes and they still had to carry cardboard weapons, must be dam embarrassing for them, haha.

Played some games and learned mass dance in the hall and zhihong still complaining thats its very boring even though his group has TWO swiss people. Imagine my situation please.

Collected OPack which consists of shoebag, collar pin, shirt, towel and handbook at the end of the day before going home.

Second day started off the same.

Went for KI test with zh, only to get owned by the cuckoo questions which look like they are taken out from joke books. Played some water games and i found out that og 32 is actually quite enthu although we were on a losing streak. Then we had teaching of the school song after lunch and it's easier to remember compared to pj's one cause the verses are much shorter. After that we had to learn how to dance the 'puppet' and couple dance, which ended quite fast... still remembered we had to dance so many times in pj cause everybody was getting it all wrong.

On the last day, we got to play a game called 'protection of the ancient scriptures' which sounds pretty dam psycho but it was fun. A little like pj's war game just that 3-4 people had to squeeze into one hula hoop/gunny string then move together to try to spray some water onto the newspaper. My group was squeezing like mad through the crazy opponents blocking us and abs area sure hurt cause the the gunny string was stretched around our waist.

There was also this school tour thing and we had to complete tasks after visiting each section of the school. We had to complete 25 pull ups for each og in 1 particular station, and i felt so weak after 9 pull ups, i should really go train again since NAPFA is coming early this year, april if im not wrong.

Had potluck in the noon and there was a crazy load of potato chips, so glad im not suffering from sore throat today. 3 hours of college CIP after that where we had to come up with designs for coasters to be sent to old folks' homes. It was so scary to work with girls who wanted to paint some guy's fingernails purple. =S

Found out that weihao(tiko) and kahwai managed to appeal into ajc successfully, let's welcome them into the swiss kumpung association haha.

Dance and cheers at the aj square before going to the hall for finale. I think im starting to regret not asking for something so important and meaningful.

Finale night was great, especially the ogf performances, must have put in a lot of effort for them to be successful. The indian guy who did the whole solo michael jackson thing was so cool too, lol. Also not forgetting the mass dance at 1.3x speed. The whole night was wonderful, except for the rain.

Went off with swiss peeps to causeway point for dinner before heading home.

2 more lecture weeks before actual classes, ganna be dam boring man.

Anticipation...

Tarandip's birthday party was on last sunday. I met up with the guys at west mall before going on for some last-minute shopping. Beng how's idea to get movie vouchers was quite practical but when we found out that they were selling at $80 for 10 movie vouchers, all of us thought that it was not ganna do well as a birthday present for one person.

After some thorough consideration and such, me, zhihong and benghow pooled in to buy a bracelet which is NOT ordinary at all(lol), while jk and weixian got a popular gift voucher.

Time passed pretty fast during the party cause there was a lot of food and channel 5 was showing around the world in 80 days during that time.

Went off with edward and yongxiang after the party to bukit panjang's macdonald's to have some chocolate sundaes. After enduring through edward's collection of lame videos in his mobile, we finally left for home at about 11pm.

Last day of school in pjc was so boring. Only half the class came, 11 to be exact, and most of the teachers dint come for class except for chemistry tutorial. I lost my chem homework in class after i passed to somebody and i couldnt concentrate but luckily jiasheng, who ponned his PE just to go my chem tut, was there to teach me.

Later on, the relief teacher that came in for maths was darn nice. We suggested that we should just slack since there was so little people in class and then he just wrote down six questions on the board to show that he is 'working'. The coolest thing is that he was from swiss too, only 10 years older and he knows mrs sally yu! After presenting the questions, he sat down and started chatting with us about his NS life. Oh ya, he looks like junda + mr ngoh's hair style, junda ngoh, No joke!

Skipped chinese and bio after that to enjoy my last cup of mango madness in pjc's cafe. Regreted not going for bio tut cause the teacher is seriously very good in teaching although a little strict and i wanted to thank her so much but kahwai was dragging me to go home. Heard that she cancelled the lesson after hearing that only 4 people will be attending her class... sighs.

This 1 month has been great guys... although it was short, it has certainly made a mark in my life, i hope that everybody in 08S01 will enjoy their future stay in either pjc or in another jc. Cheers. :D

Finally received the long-awaited sms from MOE this morning at 8am.

MOE: Congrats TAN WEI MING, you are posted to ANDERSON JC, SCIENCE (21S) under 2008 JAE. Pl report to JC/MI on 20 Feb 08 at 7.30am.
(not 1 word less/more)

Im quite glad that i dint get into nj although my parents want me to get in badly. If i did get into nj, my chance of survival in the school will be about negative percentage. It was also great to hear that most of the peeps in swiss 4E5 are going in too, but still a bit sad for those who dint manage to get in, especially jiasheng since i've been consulting him most of the time i do not know how to answer physics/chem questions. All the best again to those who are not going ajc.

Still have to pay $20.30 tomorrow for a new orientation package and im in OG32, hope the peeps in there will be sociable.

Currently, I've been asked to join the elmo clan by edwin, the ultimate elmo hater who likes to whack elmo with a badminton racket whenever and wherever possible... and he's the boss.

Class spirit

Thursday was valentine's day and there was a load of activities in pj; fun dance in the morning, song dedication and of course the SCAP people who came knocking on the doors to deliver roses etc, ALSO not forgetting me accompanying SOMEBODY to give his $43 bouquet to his BELOVED girl, ahem.

Lessons went smoothly on that day before we had the last and we-ir-dest gp tutorial in pjc ever. Everybody knows that homosexuality is going uphill these days but its still funny and strange to discuss it with a teacher. Mr siraj's experience overseas was hilarious especially the one about his kids seeing some gays hanky-panking in a restaurant, then someone in the class brought up a blog set up by 2 gays which he saw some time ago, how interesting, haha.

My class's spirit in pon-ing lessons is so solid. After maths lecture yesterday, everybody left the hall together and started a mini conference(actually already started at the last 10 minutes of the lecture). Eventually, i was persuaded not to go too since there was really no meaning to go for a chem tut with no teacher, followed by maths tut to do same questions. Don't know what the maths teacher is going to say on monday... or maybe she's used to it already. Chinese is mass-poning which is really sad for the lecturers cause only less than a quarter of the hall is filled with students and most of them just go to give face or TCS( talk-cock session)

Sudden instinct to buy myself a pjc collar pin at the end of the day, it looks quite cool cause there's a transparent block above the pjc crest and then there's like a chain to the button area. Hope i'll remember to bring it on the last day of school cause it'll be the first and last time i can put it on.

VICIOUS CYCLE!

I realised i've been slacking so much the past few days.

Life's just ain't as hectic and crazy compared to pre-O levels period. That's definitely something to be glad about, but the feeling of being so free and restless is much more dull. Yet, when the torrents of homework and tests start pouring in, i'll start complaining again. It is so difficult for me to find myself in a comfortable state, and that seems to be the case for everybody...

When I have managed to save enough cash to get something i really wanted, be it getting the psp or a new pair of earphones, the satisfaction never really gets into me because i often regret not spending the money on something much better. When i have already achieved my desired goals, i think back again on why i dint do better.

Unlimited human wants
Limited resources

...How true

Happy CNY~!

This time of the year has come again!

New year's eve was great. Watched meet the spartans in the afternoon and i must say that it's seriously super funny! Tons of spoofs from the other movies and tv shows, like ugly betty as the oracle, american idol judges + britney spears getting kicked into the pit of death, and also not forgetting the 'storm the yard' battle between the immortals and 13 spartans! Thinking of the scenes makes me wanna laugh again. Definitely a MUST-WATCH for those who caught 300 and Epic Movie! (although it doesn't seems like it's worth the price, lol)

Din't visit chinatown's temples yesterday night (hooray 2008) and im so glad we din't go because we had to squeeze through the crowds of crazy aunties and uncles in the previous years. Worshippers rush in to get their joss sticks into the large urn and then the people working there remove them in less than a minute, is there even enough time for their messages to be sent to the dieties!? I'm thinking maybe it's just self-satisfaction for the people who prayed.

Spent the day eating snacks and such, started to feel the pain in my throat when i woke up this morning ,argh, i should really control myself but this experience only comes once in a year. :S

Will be visiting my cousins later on, will have pretty much to catch up on since i'm the only person getting o levels results this year... hohoho. :]

Happy CNY to those celebrating now and also to those who are not celebrating. There's also a lot of people going back to msia to celebrate, hope that they wont get robbed on the way, hahas.

Sianism.

Apart from the class chalet which happened last week right after the release of o levels results, nothing much has been happening in school, except for seeing some people withdrawing from classes.

Got back my econs test yesterday and i luckily scraped through it, many people failed the test because most of us had simply no idea what the econs teacher is talking about in her lessons. The new teacher is much better compared to the previous one because she tries to add some jokes to the lectures while we're half-awake.

S01 almost set a record of 6 people attending maths tutorial on friday cause everyone wanted to mass-pon after chem tutorial. Fortunately, somebody in the class went to call all of them back so that we wont get into trouble.

I was given a chance to apply for the moe overseas trip, but i dint went to meet up with the teacher-in-charge. I thought it would be troublesome and i'll have to pay a large sum for the trip.. life is full of hard decisions... i may never get the chance to go USA, Canada or KOREA ever again... =(

Second bio test coming up tomorrow, and i still have a ton of homework to do...
